the key word is the most popular mV in KOREA, meaning the data is collected within Korea only (by IP address), so if taken into account globally, the ranking is different.

But how many Koreans even use YouTube?

Edit: Ugh, I guess some people just can't read properly. I didn't ask if Koreans use YouTube at all but how many of them use it. If we are talking about North Korea (yes people, North Korea is part of Korea too), YouTube is blocked and anyone who tries to access it can be punished.

I live in Korea and teach middle school. All of my kids use it and several of them even have their own channels. One of my kids even has a channel that goes back several years (with lots of hilarious videos that embarrass him and his friends when they play it now). My (Korean) co-teacher also uses it to find videos to play for the kids if we have a few extra minutes to kill at the end of class. I'd say it's very popular here. There's even a link to it at the top of on one of the popular korean language websites (I want to say that it's daum but I'm not sure. My co-teacher goes through that website to get to youtube though).

https://tv.naver.com/ ... https://www.vlive.tv/ ... for MVs type view and listen.

I would GUESS that the two above URLs are the big competition for YOUTUBE (KR).
But I do not know it either. Have NOT seen any 'Rankings' on it.
I like *NAVER* for MVs, because they use *better* 192 Kbit Audio Quality, whereas YOUTUBE is 128 Kbit.
YOUTUBE still LISTS some of their MVs as 192 Kbit Audio ; but NOT actually true, they are now *all* 128 Kbit.
DEEZER.COM and some of the AUDIO *only* websites have 320 Kbit HIGHER Quality Audio too.

Who doesn't use YouTube? YT views count for Music Shows so k-fans must use it.

Mamamoo's Starry Night was a visual masterpiece, so aesthetically pleasing. I'm so glad it made it to the list.

Congratulations to my Momoland girls. They won 3rd place over those powerhouses as Twice, BTS, Red Velvet or Mamamoo.

I really don't understand people protesting/downvoting this list. It's for most viewed in SK not globally and even global views don't matter, your stans did good,be content with that and shut up. Views don't matter in k-pop, sales do.

I see BLACKPINK Group as the Female one that MIGHT 'break out'

in the USA and other 'Western Nation' popularity.

VIEWS on YOUTUBE are an interesting measure. BUT, they are NOT the same as

actual SALES of say MUSIC DOWNLOADS or CONCERT TICKETS.

Which, IF you were looking at those *REAL MONEY* generating measures,

*then* the MALE Groups would be WAY MORE LISTED ; because FANGIRLS *drive* the K-pop Industry.
