According to an exclusive report on October 5, HyunA is looking to bring an end to her exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment.

After becoming the only 4minute member to renew her contract with Cube Entertainment in 2016, it seems that HyunA's solo contract with the agency wasn't due to last much longer. Industry insiders say that after the controversy involving Cube's attempt to kick HyunA and her boyfriend Pentagon's E'Dawn out of the label, and then facing disagreement from the label's board of directors, both HyunA's side and Cube's side have mutually lost faith in one another. The two sides are currently arranging to separate aspects of HyunA's contract including her solo brand endorsement deals, her revenues, etc.
Reportedly, HyunA also told her close acquaintances recently, "I think my relationship with Cube ends here." While these reports also claim that HyunA will be ending her contract with Cube Entertainment alongside her boyfriend E'Dawn, there's no other word from industry insiders on E'Dawn's current plans or actions.
