The Eiffel Tower responds to a fan's inquiry if EXO's Kai broke a law
The Eiffel Tower has responded to a fan's inquiry if Kai had broken French law.
On September 26, Kai innocently posted a video on Instagram, dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower during the light show.
After the video was posted, a considerate fan asked the official Eiffel Tower Twitter account to make sure the video was not breaking any laws. Apparently, "it's illegal to share, sell, or publish photos and videos of the night-lit Eiffel Tower without prior permission from the Société d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel."
On September 26, The Eiffel Tower's official Twitter account replied to these concerns. The exchange and translation can be seen below:
The fan inquired of the possible legality of the video, in which the Eiffel Tower replied,
"Hello, photos or videos for personal use of the Eiffel Tower at night are not illegal or subject to authorization ;-) Only professionals should inquire about the conditions of exploitation of images taken at night. You can find more information here."
It seems like Kai is in the clear!
