Chansung talked about his contract renewal with JYP Entertainment, 2PM's future promotion plans, and more.
On July 30, the idol-actor had an interview with News1 in light of his recently ended drama 'What's Wrong With Secretary Kim'.
Some of the questions regarded his recent contract renewal with JYPE and 2PM. The reporter asked, "Will 2PM continue promotions? Taecyeon recently transferred to a new label 51K."
Chansung replied, "We will continue. The members had many conversations about contract renewal. His opinion needs to be respected if that's how he feels. I believe he wanted to continue promoting in 2PM but take care of his solo schedule in another agency. However, I am worried that communication and planning will not be easy with multiple agencies. It's an issue that we all need to put extra care into."

Unlike Taecyeon, Chansung remained in JYP Entertainment. When asked the reason why, Chansung replied, "The delicious cafeteria food? (laugh) There are multiple reasons. I have trust in them. I have been with them up till now and it's the agency that knows 2PM the most."
