A teen is under investigation for dumping her newborn baby.
On June 28, the Hwaseong Dongbu Police Station revealed that around 3 p.m. on June 27, a dead newborn baby was found at an apartment garden in Busan-dong.
The dead baby was stuffed in an oval-shaped candy jar (23cm in diameter, 20cm in height) when initially discovered by an apartment street sweeper.
The police were able to find the dead baby's mother by looking over the security cameras in the area. The mother revealed to be a teenager who lives in the apartment complex.
To the police, the mother claimed, "The baby was born dead so I threw away the body."
The police are further investigating to check the validity of the teen's claim.
