Seventeen's Vernon reveals he developed anxiety due to his multiracial identity

On the April 5 airing of KBS 2TV's 'Happy Together 3', the MCs praised Vernon's outstanding visuals and resemblance to Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio. To this, Vernon said,"I'm happy to be called his look-alike but honestly, the attention is a bit overwhelming."

Vernon then explained that he was born in New York with an American mother and a Korean father. Before the age of 5, he moved to Korea. Vernon grew up in Hongdae with the Korean name Choi Han Sol.

While talking about his childhood, Vernon also revealed that he has experienced symptoms similar to social�anxiety due to his unique, multiracial appearance. He said, "Receiving attention from people was overwhelming�when I was little."
