MBC's variety department chief spoke with media outlets about the future of 'Infinity Challenge' on March 7.
The chief stated, "Everything reported up to now is true. 'Infinity Challenge' will be undergoing a revamp, and the current season will come to an end on March 31. Choi Haeng Ho PD will be charged with producing."
Regarding plans of the show's cast members including Yoo Jae Suk, Park Myung Soo, HaHa, Jung Jun Ha, Yang Se Hyung, and Jo Se Ho, the chief said, "We are discussing the matter with the members. We would like for the original members to go forward with us from here on. We are discussing the matter over phone calls as well as through meetings, but the members all have different thoughts and they plan to debate on the matter among themselves. Currently, there is no confirmation that the members will be leaving."
The chief then added on, "We are not sure if 'Infinity Challenge' season 2 can begin filming in April right away. One news outlets seemed to have thought up at least 4 different scenarios, but nothing is confirmed yet... The viewers' loyalty toward 'Infinity Challenge' is strong, is it not? We are also weary of the media coverage. We will bring it to a successful close."
Previously, the show's original PD Kim Tae Ho revealed he was leaving the show, throwing 'Infinity Challenge' fans into a panic.
