From November 26 to December 2, a survey with the question, "Which celebrity was swept in the worst controversy in 2017?", took place on popular online community board DC Inside.
Out of 25,157 total votes, Big Bang's T.O.P with his marijuana controversy took first place with 2,711 (10.8%) votes. In second place was Yoo Ah In, who received 2,357 (9.4%) votes with his military enlistment controversy. The actor is continuing to be targeted with criticism for receiving an exemption. Next in 3rd place came JYJ's Yoochun with 2,034 (8.1%) votes. Since last year, Yoochun took over headlines for months due to the multiple sexual assault charges made against him. On top of this, he created buzz with fiancee Hwang Hana and the continuous delay of their wedding.
Following T.O.P, Yoo Ah In, and Yoochun was SHINee's Onew with his sexual harassment controversy, NU'EST's Baekho (Kang Dong Ho) with one female's sexual assault claims against him, and Super Junior's Kangin with multiple DUI incidents, and recently the physical assault controversy.
