During the interview when asked what led him to create "Be By My Side", Crush answered, "I pondered about the kind of music I should put out as a musician this past summer. After much thought, my dear fans came to mind. I don't have a large fanbase or anything but I felt very grateful towards those who continued to cheer me on; strengthening me. And I happened to write my honest thoughts like I would in a journal, which gave birth to 'Be By My Side'."

He also shared his expectations for the new year, saying,"I am working hard and living my best while preparing for my new digital single. I'm planning to continue working hard and creating new music in the upcoming year so I'm looking forward to it."
