The music show drought is continuing this week.
For an unknown reason, SBS' 'Inkigayo' is not scheduled for this weekend in its usual timeslot, meaning it won't be airing this week. MBC's 'Show! Music Core' is still on hiatus due to the MBC general strike, and MBC Every1's 'Show Champion' is taking a break this week as well.
This means only SBS MTV's 'The Show' (airing later tonight), Mnet's 'M! Countdown' (on Thursday), and KBS' 'Music Bank' (on Friday) will be airing this week. There has been a shortage of music shows lately because of the holidays and the strikes, and it seems like it will continue into this week.
However, starting next week, 'Show Champion' will be back on air, and hopefully 'Inkigayo' will be back to its regular programming next week as well. 'Show! Music Core' is still on indefinite hiatus until further announcement, and 'M! Countdown' will be taking a 4-week break starting next week as well.
