YG's new solo artist One says G-Dragon is his role model

G-Dragon, One, One
One finally made his long-awaited debut, marking 14 years since YG Entertainment�debuted a male solo artist.


On July 11, One attended the press conference for his single album debut�'ONE DAY'where he talked about his future goals and fellow artists he admires. Making his name known to the public through 'Show Me the Money 4', ONE was able to make his official debut as a singer after training under YG for two years.


"A lot of things happened over the past two years. It was a time for me to discover who I truly was as an individual...After 'Show Me the Money 4' was over, I spent most of my time listening to music apart from eating."


When asked if he felt any pressure debuting as the first male solo YG artist since 2003, One explained, "It was burdensome yes...Yang Hyun Suk boss told me to stay strong and be healthy, which was every encouraging, I was moved by his words," and thanked the YG founder.



Onto his debut track "Gettin' By", One mentioned, "when I was creating this song all I thought about was making people happy while they listen to this track. This song contains all of my emotions when I was in my early 20s" �As for "heyahe", he commented, "I wanted to portray my sexy side in this track."


As for his role model, One pointed out his YG sunbae�G-Dragon, aspiring to become a unique person. �"G-Dragon sunbaenim�inspires me a lot�as an artist. �I find myself attracted to many talented singers abroad."


He also expressed his ambitious desires to act someday and appear on different variety programs.
