On July 26, the two members shared videos on their Instagram stories of many fans waiting for NCT at the airport. Hyoyeon captioned, "A celebrity must be here", "I heard it's NCT."
A netizen, who claimed to have been at the airport at the time, explained the situation and said, "I'm a person who was at the airport at the time. NCT fans were not only out of order but harmed Girls' Generation and many other attendants. They pushed away people to take pictures, stood on chairs, and blocked ways.."
Many believe Taeyeon and Hyoyeon uploaded the videos to express their frustration on sasaeng fans. While many netizens agree that sasaeng fans have gone overboard, some believe it was inappropriate for the idol stars to share videos of them on their Instagram accounts with millions of followers.
NCT fans also worry that the videos might negatively impact the boy group. Comments stated, "The sasaeng fans were wrong but was it necessary to mention the group.."
