Netizens are accusing Big Bang's T.O.P of receiving special treatment in the military.

Recently, photos of T.O.P and JYJ's Junsu at the training camp were revealed via the official website of the Nonsan army training camp. From these photos, netizens noticed that T.O.P was the only soldier wearing his green name tag on the left side. This is leading to a controversial discussion among netizens.

Celebrities have continuously been accused of getting advantages or "having it easy" during their mandatory military service. Recently, Super Junior's Shindong, who got discharged from the military in December, was also accused of receiving celebrity advantages due to his significant weight gain and long hair.

Many netizens, especially male netizens who served, are expressing fury at the sight of T.O.P's improper outfit. Comments on an online community stated, "If a non-celebrity wore it like that then they would have to run 10 laps...", "A non-celebrity would've got in so much trouble for what he did", "I can't believe no one said anything about that when they gathered to take the picture. Even a little mistake like that would've caused the entire group to get in trouble", "They probably let him go since he's a celebrity. If it was a non-celeb who did that then they would've gotten disciplined so bad."

In response to the controversy, a representative from the army training camp stated, "The 25th regime company 1 division 1 uniform are supposed to have the name tag on the right side. Trainee Choi Seung Hyun must have been confused and mistakenly wore it on the other side."

Well, this is an excerpt  from another KPOP media outlet. "According to the training center, TOP acknowledge his mistake and corrected the position of his nametag after he was told do so. ". Instead of a picture that only captures a second of a situation, there should be a video to satisfy the ever judgemental netizens.

_infirestae Friday, February 17, 2017

seriously? just because of a slight badge change?

Erisadesu _infirestae Sunday, February 19, 2017

I understand your point, but it's the army, everything must be strict

hanjivara Friday, February 17, 2017

No seriously are they making a fuss over nothing (well a very small mistake) again ? idols are also humans they can make simple mistakes like this just like all the other soldiers

I get their point though, if that happened to an ordinary citizen there would be a huge consequence. The world we live in is truly based on social ranks. anyway, im glad to see TOP, i miss him :( do well, oppa!

Wow, really? He can't even do his military service without people calling him out on it? Damn! I bet 95% of the people complaining would cry and go back to their momma within a week of military training.

lol they are overreacting again

YoUrAvErAgEVIP Friday, February 17, 2017

lol he could have ran those laps Lol but did you go to the field and  go to whoever is in charge and ask? So stop assuming.

i think it was a punishment for him to keep it on that side for the picture. Exactly because he's a celeb. A normal conscript wouldn't experience any consequences from such a picture being taken while the tag is on the wrong side, they can only be punished on the spot.
