Over 2 million citizens are expected to gather for another weekend of protests against President Park

Following last weekend's protest against Korean president, Park Geun Hye, who is involved in the country's worst corruption scandal, this weekend's upcoming protest is expected to gather around 2 million citizens.

The upcoming November 26 protest will begin at 6 PM KST, and the citizens will begin to march at 8PM, protest organizers report. One of the organizers said, "We expect 1.5 to 2 million people to gather...We still believe that the voice of citizens can make President Park resign." 




Ahead of the large protest, the National Farmers Association and college students will hold a candlelight vigil style protest at Gwanghwamun Square. The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions also announced that they will be going on a strike from November 30. 


748 professors from Seoul University -- the most prestigious university in Korea -- have also announced that they will be attending the November 26 protest.  Cities outside of Seoul are also expected to hold their own protests to voice their demand. 


President Park continues to refuse to step down from Presidency as the voices of citizens grow louder.
