Royal Pirates were asked during the showcase on November 30 for their new album '3.3' what sets them apart from other bands like CNBLUE and F.T Island.
Moon Kim answered, "We are close to CNBLUE and F.T Island and talk with them. In comparison to them, we think that we have an originality that's unique to us. We've done music in the United States since we were young, so we give off our unique vibe. I'm not sure if it's mainstream, but we've had the color of a trio band doing music for a while."

Sooyoon added, "Maybe it's because we were all raised in America, but the music that we've listened to as we grew up is a different rock. That's why our musical color is also different. Whether it's cultural or lingual, it is also to our group's advantage that we speak English." James added, "Our big specialty is that all three of us compose and write lyrics."
