Trot singer Jang Yoon Jung decided to withdraw from the lawsuit against the malicious blogger and past fan, Mr. Song, who had filed a complaint against the singer last year, claiming she had imprisoned and assaulted her mother. The singer was eventually freed of suspicions and Mr. Song was placed under arrest, but it appears Jang Yoon Jung became willing to overlook his actions.

On January 15, it was revealed that the charges against him for defamation and insults were dropped and he was released. Jang Yoon Jung's agency said, "The blogger wrote a letter while his wife came to the office to ask for leniency . . . We dropped the charges as our hearts softened from their sincere apologies."
