2NE1 reveals why they decided to go on variety shows this time around

The girls were featured on 'Incarnation' and also 'Running Man', which, even though the number may seem small, is a big jump for the girls. During a recent interview they were asked about their increase of variety show activities. CL said, "We used to do one variety show a year. Compared to that pace, we're going to be on more variety programs than usual. Dara unni and Bom unni especially want to go on variety shows. They asked our CEO to let them go on shows, so we went on them."

Dara said, "After 'Incarnation' aired, I texted our CEO. I asked him to let us go on more shows if he liked it. I hope we can go on more shows."

CL added, "For us, variety shows are a new challenge. The performance stages are easy and we enjoy them, but we haven't gotten to the point where we enjoy the variety stage. We thought it'd be fun to try on something new, so we went on some this time. To be honest, even now, I'm burdened, but it'd be nice if we were fun."
