Chris Golightly from 'American Idol / Superstar K3' questioned for assaulting a woman

Chris Golightly from�'American Idol' and 'Superstar K3' is currently under police investigation for suspicions of assaulting a woman in her 20s.

According to reports, the woman and Chris Golightly had been arguing over a cigarette light, and he has been accused of throwing a traffic pylon at the woman. However, a close friend of his said, "It's true that Chris was under police investigation, but he did not hit the woman." During his police investigation, Chris Golightly also denied the assault.

Chris Golightly's friend continued, "I think the woman was drunk. When Chris tried to borrow a cigarette light, she started to curse at him without warning, and he responded to that. She got mad and spat at his face. Who wouldn't get mad when someone spits on your face? He threw the traffic pylon in anger, but he did not throw it towards the woman. He threw it at the wall, and it did not hit her. He's not someone to hit women, or anything. I think this happens to him often because he's a public figure. I hope his problem gets solved quickly when the truth comes out."

Back in February, he apologized to the public after his sex scandal.
