"Flashback" marks After School's first promotions without member and former leader�Kahi, as well as�the entrance of new member�Ga Eun.�For "Flashback", they decided to mix up dark and sexy for a powerful comeback, while also incorporating a trendy electronic sound to give the song a catchy appeal.

The lyrics talk about wanting to "flashback" to love, and are reported to contain a double meaning as After School seeks to return to the group's early stages.
