South Korea's popular musical, 'Jack the Ripper' featuring Super Junior's Sungmin, is set to premiere in Japan.
On the 2nd, Japan's newspaper Sankei Shimbun reported, "South Korea's popular musical 'Jack the Ripper' will be playing at the Aoyama Theatre in Tokyo, Japan during September through October."
'Jack the Ripper' has been playing in Korean theaters since 2009 and has become one of South Korea's most popular musicals. The musical portrays the infamous case of a serial killer known as "Jack the Ripper" who targeted prostitutes on the streets of London in 1888.
Sungmin and original Hallyu star Ahn Jae Wook will be playing the main role of Daniel, the doctor, while rockstar Shin Sung Woo will be playing the lead role of Jack.
Last year, the 'Jack the Ripper' musical received a great amount of attention from Japanese fans and to accommodate them, Japanese subtitles were included throughout the show.
