As a host on entertainment news show 'One Night of TV Entertainment', Girls' Generation's Sooyoung found herself being asked questions about her member Tiffany and 2PM Nichkhun's recently revealed relationship.

On April 9, the idols' relationship as well as In Gyo Jin and So Yi Hyun's marriage announcement were featured on the show. Sooyoung's co-host Yoon Do Hyun asked her if she knew about Tiffany and Nichkhun's relationship before the news made headlines, and she responded jokingly, "About So Yi Hyun? I had no idea."
Sooyoung later stated, "We were half worried and half congratulatory about it. We also felt bad for the fans as the news became a big deal outside of our album promotions. I hope they look at [the relationship] in a positive light."
