SBS 'K-Pop Star' winner Park Ji Min has decided to sign with JYP Entertainment.
On May 21st, SBS stated, "Park Ji Min has signed an exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment, and will be preparing for a debut album in the near future."
"SM, YG, and JYP Entertainment all prioritized the successful debut and career of the 'K-Pop Star' winner, and all three agencies have spoken in detail with Park Ji Min about her future," they continued. "Taking into consideration the kind of music she would like to pursue, it has been decided that she would debut with JYP Entertainment."
Park Ji Min remarked, "My heart races when I simply hear the names of the three agencies, and the fact that I am able to enter one of them is so surreal. I am glad I will be able to receive the meticulous guidance of judge J.Y. Park, and I will learn everything I can in order to show you a much more developed side of myself."
SBS continued, "Lee Ha Yi who competed for the top spot with Park Ji Min, along with Baek Ah Yeon and the rest of the Top 10 and even the hopefuls that were cut before, are all receiving numerous love calls. This audition program will give birth to more new stars than any before it in history."
Meanwhile, the 'K-Pop Star' representatives are carefully preparing for Season 2, scheduled to broadcast sometime this November.
Who would you have chosen out of the 3 choices of SM, JYP, and YG?
