Akdong Musician (AKMU) unveiled the music video for their title track, "Joy, Sorrow, A Beautiful Heart," marking their first single since leaving YG Entertainment.
The released MV captures serene and heartfelt moments, featuring people moving trees across a desert and spending time freely in nature, painting, and enjoying peaceful interactions with the world around them.
The title track offers a calm yet deeply moving experience, with lyrics opening as: "After joy comes sorrow / That’s a beautiful heart," "Do not drive it away, embrace it / It will become a very lovely stone."
According to their agency, Center of Inspiration, this album encapsulates the musical expertise and artistic growth AKMU has cultivated over the years.
This release is particularly significant as it is AKMU’s first album after parting ways with YG Entertainment, marking their independent debut. It is also their first full-length studio album in seven years since their 2019 release, 'Sailing.'
