Singer Onew made a heartfelt comeback with his title track "ANIMALS” and the full album ‘PERCENT,’ released on July 15 at 6 PM across all major music platforms.
Coming approximately six months after his January mini-album ‘CONNECTION’, Onew returns with his second full-length album, offering a sincere and intimate portrayal of his journey toward self-completion. The album deepens Onew’s unique emotional sensibility, reflecting his growth and authenticity.
Onew took an active role in the album’s creation, including lyric writing, to convey a more genuine message. ‘PERCENT’ centers on the theme of “emptying, filling, and becoming whole,” expressing the confession that no one can reach 100% completeness alone. Instead, the album embraces the belief that individual percentages come together to create a meaningful whole.
The title track "ANIMALS" captures a moment of liberation focused on instinct and sensation. Featuring a refined bassline, acoustic guitar, and FX sounds reminiscent of animal calls, the song injects dynamic energy throughout. The ever-changing progression, combined with Onew’s delicate vocals, enriches the narrative and emotional depth of the track.
