The new Netflix series 'The Art of Sarah' has climbed to No. 3 on the global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart just three days after its release, proving the power of its stellar performances and gripping storyline.
Starring Shin Hye Sun and Lee Jun Hyuk, the drama is earning strong word-of-mouth for its intense acting and unpredictable plot twists.
'Art of Sarah' follows Sarah Kim (played by Shin Hye Sun), a woman who longs to become a luxury brand, even if only a counterfeit one, and Moo Kyung (played by Lee Jun Hyuk), the man who relentlessly pursues her desires and the truth behind them. All eight episodes were released simultaneously on the 13th.
According to Netflix on the 18th, the series recorded 3.8 million views—calculated by dividing total watch hours by the show’s runtime—securing the No. 3 spot on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV ranking. It topped charts in South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, and entered the Top 10 in 38 countries, including Bahrain, Peru, Colombia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Kenya, drawing worldwide attention.

Shin Hye Sun plays Sarah Kim, the Asia branch director of the luxury brand Boudoir, which targets only the top 0.1 percent of consumers and has rapidly gained mainstream recognition. A mysterious figure whose name and past remain shrouded in secrecy, Sara commands the screen with a powerful presence.
Lee Jun Hyuk portrays Moo Kyung, the detective assigned to Sara’s case and the one observing her from the closest vantage point. As he meticulously pieces together scattered clues, he pushes forward in pursuit of the truth.
Viewer response has been overwhelmingly positive. Online comments include: “I casually started episode one and ended up finishing the whole series,” “The writer crafted an incredible script,” “I binged it the moment it dropped—best series of 2026,” “Their acting was phenomenal,” and “I tried to pace myself, but it was impossible.”
On the same day, Netflix unveiled behind-the-scenes stills from the production, further heightening interest. The images reveal Shin Hye Sun’s careful efforts to embody different facets of her character, showcasing everything from understated styling to refined, glamorous looks that highlight Sara’s layered identity.

Another still captures Lee Jun Hyuk in deep discussion with director Kim Jin Min, reflecting his dedication to shaping Moo Kyung as a detective who digs relentlessly for the truth despite the case’s complexity. His thoughtful refinement of the character’s inner world enhances the drama’s emotional depth.
Cast members, including Park Bo Kyung, Kim Jae Won, and Bae Jong Ok, also appear in the stills, earnestly exchanging ideas with the director to convincingly portray multidimensional characters hiding secrets beneath their composed exteriors.
The series’s high production quality is further bolstered by an accomplished creative team. Costume director Cho Sang Kyung, known for her work on Squid Game as well as the films The Match and Hunt, contributed to enhancing each character’s distinct identity. Veteran professionals also collaborated on cinematography and the original soundtrack, further elevating the show’s immersive quality.
With compelling performances and polished production, 'Art of Sarah' is now streaming worldwide on Netflix.
