SHINee has announced their upcoming single album, titled 'Poet | Artist.'
The title of the new single is a tribute to the late Jonghyun’s posthumous album of the same name, which was released in January 2018, about a month after his passing. This will also mark SHINee’s first-ever single album released in Korea, and it serves as an homage to Jonghyun—not only through its album name, but also through a symbolic tribute involving dolls representing each of the five members.
Each doll has a unique shape—one is a heart, another is a star, and others vary—unified by the group’s signature pearl aqua green, SHINee’s official fandom color.
A point of detail includes the accent color on the feet of each doll, which reflects the color of the members' personalized microphones from their early debut days.
The single will also celebrate SHINee’s 17th debut anniversary on May 25, which is the same day the single will be released. A promotional concept photo has also been revealed, showing four hands ethereally touching each other.
Fans are already responding with warmth and emotion, touched by SHINee’s heartfelt tribute to Jonghyun in honor of this year’s anniversary.
