Fans received a surprise update from Park Bo Gum. 

On August 14th, a new video featuring the actor and chef Jung Ho Young talking about feeding the troops was posted on the official YouTube channel of KFN. KFN is a network under the Ministry of National Defense of Korea.  

In the video, Park Bo Gum is seen greeting the viewers in his uniform. After introducing himself as part of the cultural promotion team of the Navy's honor guard, the actor reveals how he decided to film the episode. "As a Navy, I heard I could help improve the meals for soldiers so I came here today."

He added, "I also thought 'when will I ever get to experience being an army cook if not now?' And I wanted to help provide flavorful meals to 600 soldiers." In the rest of the video, Park Bo Gum is seen cooking meals for soldiers under chef Jung Ho Young's supervision.  

Meanwhile, Park Bo Gum joined the military last August and he will be discharged on April 30th next year.
