On December 19, SBS's 'The Fan' revealed that contestant Hwang Yeji has been revived for the 2nd round of the competition through online votes. 

Previously, Hwang Yeji was introduced to 'The Fan' by 2PM's Junho as "JYP's secret weapon". Despite wowing viewers with a charismatic performance of "Ain't My Fault", the contestant received a total of 197 votes, which ended up being less votes than needed to pass the 1st round auditions. 

On 'The Fan', when contestants fail to receive the necessary number of votes to pass onto the 2nd round on the spot during their auditions, their fate goes over to online voting. Thanks to the passionate votes of online viewers, Hwang Yeji was able to move on to round 2, and her 2nd round performance will be revealed on the upcoming December 22 broadcast of 'The Fan'. 

According to 'The Fan', the trainee practiced so hard for her 2nd round performance that she suffered from a hip injury; however, she chose to showcase her performance as planned despite her injury.
