In Busan, an anonymous donor has donated the entire winnings of the third-place lottery prize to help neighbors in need.
On January 23, Busan’s Sasang District Office reported that a donor recently visited the office and handed a lottery ticket to the staff.
The donor verified the ticket’s winning status by scanning its QR code with their phone and said, “I want to share the good fortune that came to me with neighbors in need. Please use it for a good cause,” before leaving.
The ticket presented to the district office was a third-place winner from the 1151st lottery draw, with a prize amount of 1,370,166 KRW (approximately 1,000 USD).
The district office plans to use the winnings to support residents in need.
