Pro golfer Lydia Ko (25) tied the knot with Chung Joon (27), the youngest son of the Hyundai chaebol family. 

On December 30th, the No.1-ranked woman professional golfer tied the knot with the youngest son of Chung Tae Young, the vice chairman of Hyundai Capital. It was reported the two started dating back in the spring of 2021, sharing a mutual interest in playing golf. 

They got closer as they played golf in both Florida and California. Chung Joon went to Claremont McKenna College in California and he has been working in one of the Hyundai Motor Group affiliated companies in San Francisco upon graduation. 

The couple got married in Myeongdong Cathedral in private with family and friends present. Myeongdong Cathedral is known to be a favorite wedding venue of the Hyundai family, as the oldest daughter of Chung Eui Sun, chairperson of the Hyundai motor group, got married in the cathedral in June as well.
