The story of college students' saving starving and dying streets cats is touching the hearts of netizens!

Students from Korea University, Kookmin University, Hanyang University and others have formed a club to support all the lost cats that are roaming the streets. Though each university created its own club with a different name, they all share the same goal: to save street cats.

Information on the cats these clubs save are posted on Facebook, as a way of letting people know how the cats are faring. Not only do students feed the cats but they also raise money to provide them with medical care.

The cats' welfare is of utmost priority for these clubs, and the students try their best to make them feel as comfortable as possible, treating them like they are family.

Netizens commended these benevolent acts of the students, commenting, "This is something that even adults won't do but these kids are doing it," "I wish our school did this too," and many more! You can check out the official Facebook of these clubs right here

Aww! the cats were adorable. Reminds me of Imaginary Cat!

Speaking of starving cats. The cat in the first picture looks like he wants to eat the other cat and the other cat looks like he's think to himself "help me" lol

No matter how well intended, I think they're doing their community a disservice IF all they're doing is feeding them, giving medical treatments, and then releasing them back into the public. Feral cats can carry diseases, fleas, ticks, etc. They also defecate all over the place amongst other things. If theses groups are really trying to help, they should be looking to remove these cats from the streets and placing them into homes that will take of them.

Good point

I think the number one thing they should be aiming to do is sterilize the cats, that's where this problem comes from.

I don't think we should be judging a bunch of broke college students who are doing something good. Hopefully they are getting the cats spayed/neutered but if they take them to shelters to get adopted they will likely just end up being euthanized.

zippys420 pink_oracle Thursday, June 2, 2016

Agree, sterilization is also a must do.

I'm all for someone doing something good and their "good" might be good for those cats; but that "good" may also in turn have harmful effects for the rest of the community.

if the cats are feral, a home is not a good place for them because they're not used to human contact. There's a reason why feral cats are also called community cats. The best thing to control the feral cat population is to do a TNR (trap them, neuter them, and then return them to where they were found), but idk if Korea even does that.

for some reason all i could think of was for this club activity to be a good excuse for guys and girls to meet each other and see how sweet and cute they can all be with stray cats. Basically an elaborate sogaeting ruse... But.... if it helps the cats... who cares.. right? Probably would join such a club myself... if i can't find someone to date.. i can at least cuddle some stray cats!

vyonce intricate Thursday, June 2, 2016

In a way, I think like that too. I feel like some people would just do it to look good to others. Then again, I'm always so pessimistic about everyone lmao

intricate vyonce Thursday, June 2, 2016

hahah ikr!? but.. i didn't see it as something pessimistic, just as people having some sort of ulterior motive, besides actually helping stray cats :P But seriously though... seeing folks being cute with animals is such a fail safe way to convince people you're a good person...

vyonce intricate Thursday, June 2, 2016

In general, anyone who has the intention of doing something good to impress someone just seems so low to me. I'd rather do something like helping stray cats because I like to or because I want to help the cats and not to impress some crush of mine haha

You sound a little cynical! Is there a reason behind your attitude? I'm just thinking their might be an interesting story here. I'm sorry if it sounded offensive.

intricate ajshawol1990 Friday, June 3, 2016

well maybe slightly.. i just figured it might actually be a good way to meet people that's all. Especially seeing how students are not entirely adults yet, but not quite kids either.. are going through a lot of awkward moments. It's easier to show their kind side while dealing with these poor cats, as opposed to going on a date or something and having to figure out how to be sweet and kind to the other person. Also, the poor animals won't give any embarrassing feedback either. So you don't have to hold back with your kindness towards them.
