During her appearance on the July 2nd broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s “Park Myungsoo’s Radio Show”, singer and artist Solbi candidly opened up about a past relationship that took an uncomfortable turn.
When asked about any experiences with toxic partners, Solbi recalled dating a man who abruptly cut contact, claiming he had lost his phone during a family trip. She said, “It didn’t make sense. Even if he lost his phone, he could have contacted me using a family member’s.”
Interestingly, Solbi admitted she herself had once “ghosted” a man — but under very different circumstances. “I told him I wanted to break up, but he refused to accept it. He kept showing up at my house, so I changed my number and went on a trip around the country,” she said. “Eventually, he still found my new contact, so I ended up changing my number about three times.”
Instead of fleeing abroad, Solbi chose to travel across South Korea, including participating in a templestay program for mental and emotional healing. “It really helped,” she shared, adding that the experience allowed her to recover and move on from the situation.
Her story left host Park Myungsoo and listeners amused yet empathetic, as she wrapped up by saying that she recommends such a trip for anyone going through a difficult breakup.
