Yoo Seung Woo has officially completed his mandatory military service as of today, March 1, 2026. After 18 months of active duty, he is returning to civilian life and reuniting with his supporters. Since his enlistment in September 2024, Yoo Seung Woo served in the Korea Military Academy band, where he diligently performed his duties by participating in military training, concerts for fellow soldiers, and various official government and local authority events.
To celebrate his return, Yoo Seung Woo is scheduled to host a special discharge party this evening at a venue in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event, which the artist personally planned—including creating his own physical invitations—will involve a small group of invited fans. It is designed as an intimate space where he can express his heartfelt gratitude to those who supported him throughout his service and engage in direct communication with his fandom.
Yoo Seung Woo first rose to prominence as a high school freshman in 2012 when he appeared on the Mnet survival show 'Superstar K4'. He made his official debut the following year in 2013 and has since maintained a prolific career, releasing two full-length albums and six mini-albums. Just two months prior to his enlistment in July 2024, he released his sixth mini-album, 'playlist', and successfully held a final solo concert to bid farewell to his fans before entering the army.
Even during his 18 months of service, Yoo Seung Woo reportedly remained dedicated to his craft, spending his spare time writing lyrics and composing new music. With his discharge as a starting point, he plans to organize the material he prepared while in the military and begin working on a new album in earnest. Fans can look forward to seeing him return to the stage and airwaves, as he is currently planning a wide range of upcoming broadcasting and performance activities.
