TXT's Yeonjun has been chosen as a main singer for the official World Baseball Classic (WBC) song, "Make It Count".
He joins global pop stars Becky G and Myke Towers on the track, which was produced by Grammy-winning producer Tainy.
Released on March 5, this marks the very first time the WBC has created an official soundtrack. This milestone also makes Yeonjun the first K-pop artist to be featured in the tournament's official music. "Make It Count" will serve as the main theme song for this year's games.
In addition to the soundtrack, several other K-pop stars are participating by throwing the ceremonial first pitches for the South Korean national team during the group stage matches at the Tokyo Dome. Red Velvet's Wendy took the mound for the game against the Czech Republic on March 5. Following her, NCT's Johnny threw the first pitch against Taiwan on March 8, and ATEEZ's Wooyoung was selected as the pitcher for the match against Australia on March 9.
