BTS member V revealed that he is embarking on a serious journey to improve his English skills.
On March 30, V shared a post on his Instagram Story, writing, “I'm locking in for real this time no excuses,” along with a photo and several videos. The content showed V actively engaging with English conversation lessons on YouTube, mimicking native pronunciations, and practicing everyday phrases. BTS leader RM praised V’s efforts, re-sharing one of the videos and commenting, “Good job.”
Recently, BTS has drawn attention for their English abilities. The topic sparked further discussion when designer Lee Jung Woo, mother-in-law of actress Jun Ji Hyun, posted on social media, “A leader who speaks English and members who haven’t mastered it even after 10 years,” stirring controversy. Lee later clarified, saying the remark was a lighthearted comment about the group during a Weverse Live session, adding that she shared it in fun as a 10-year ARMY fan.
Meanwhile, BTS released their fifth full-length album, 'ARIRANG,' on March 20. The album set a new record for the group with first-week sales reaching 4,169,464 copies and topped the U.S. Billboard 200 chart dated April 4.
