TWS has arrived with their first VR concert film, offering fans a more immersive method to experience the group's performance.
Pledis Entertainment announced on March 4 that TWS's first VR concert, 'Rush Road,' will have an exclusive screening at Megabox COEX in Seoul.
The group also plans international releases. The film will premiere simultaneously in Bangkok, followed by Hong Kong on March 6, and Kaohsiung and Taipei on March 13. Screenings will also take place in Singapore and Mexico City.
The film sold out on its opening day immediately after ticket sales began last month, and first-week tickets sold out at record speed. Despite being a single-theater release, it ranked second on the Megabox movie chart.
'Rush Road' captures the relentless journey of youth, featuring TWS’s hit songs, including "Overdrive," set against a variety of dynamic virtual spaces.
Tours shared, “We wanted to give 42 (the fandom name) - many of whom are experiencing VR for the first time - a proper experience. We prepared carefully, thinking about how we could get closer to our fans.”
They added, “We designed this concert film so that the members of TWS and 42 feel like they’re in the same space. We hope everyone enjoys it, shouting and having fun with us.”
Meanwhile, TWS will hold their second fan meeting, '42: Club,' from March 27–29 at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul.
