Seo Eun Hye, widely known as the older sister of Han Ji Min in the drama 'Our Blues,' is drawing attention after speaking candidly about her thoughts on having children.
On March 18, a video titled “Eun Hye and Young Nam’s Honest Newlywed Review—A Love That Seemed Pure” was uploaded to her channel, Caricatureartitseunhye. In the video, Seo Eun Hye shared that her first wedding anniversary is approaching, expressing her happiness with a bright smile: “Now that I’m married, my husband plays with me, so I’m never bored. I love that I get to see him every day.”
When her younger sibling asked her whether she would recommend marriage, she responded firmly, “You’re not getting married? You should,” fully expressing her joy. She also added, “One of the best things about marriage is being able to have children and live happily.”
Her remarks have drawn particular attention as she had previously expressed her hopes of having children. The couple appeared on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny' in August last year as newlyweds of three months. During the episode, they had a serious discussion about having children while dining with Seo Eun Hye’s parents. While the couple expressed their desire for a child, her mother voiced concerns, taking into account her daughter’s Down syndrome and her son-in-law’s intellectual disability.
Hearing this, her husband, Jo Young Nam, said, “I understand how my mother-in-law feels. I also have a disability, so I worry—what if our child is born with a disability too?” However, Seo Eun Hye remained resolute, saying, “If my husband keeps saying he wants a child, then I don’t know—I still want one,” showing she has not changed her stance.
Although the discussion was left unresolved at the time, the couple still appears to hold a positive outlook on having children.
Seo Eun Hye, an illustrator and actress with Down syndrome who received much love for playing the twin sister of Han Ji Min in 'Our Blues,' held her wedding with fellow artist Jo Young Nam in May last year. Previously known as Jung Eun Hye, she also shared her journey—from marriage to legally changing her name to follow her stepfather’s surname—through 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2.'
