Actress Go Yoon Jung stepped forward to support active-duty firefighters.
On March 20, she donated 50 million KRW (approximately 34,000 USD) to the Firefighter Family Hope Sharing initiative. The funds will be used to provide equipment for firefighters and support programs aimed at preventing PTSD.
Go Yoon Jung was inspired to contribute during the filming of MBC’s 'The Secret Friends Club,' where she completed a “Secret Manito” mission, setting up a cafeteria for firefighters. Experiencing the work environment firsthand motivated her decision to donate.
She also visited a fire station to gain a direct understanding of firefighters’ working conditions and daily responsibilities. Her agency stated, “She recognized the need for support and made the donation based on the sense of responsibility and gratitude she observed among the firefighters on-site.”
Meanwhile, Go Yoon Jung will appear in JTBC’s upcoming weekend drama 'We Are All Trying Here' (written by Park Hae Young, directed by Cha Young Hoon), portraying film producer Byeon Eun A. The series is set to premiere next month on the 18th at 10:40 PM KST.
