Shindong has drawn attention with a strikingly transformed appearance, particularly his noticeably slimmer physique, prompting a wave of reactions from fans.
On February 4, Shindong shared photos from his trip to the United States on his personal account, writing, “Saw everything, walked a lot, ate well. Traveling around as a YouTuber.” The images were taken by the ocean near Irvine in Orange County, capturing him enjoying a relaxed moment against the backdrop of an open seaside view.
What stood out most was his change in body shape. Even in a hoodie and comfortable training pants, his weight loss was immediately apparent. Compared to the fuller image he was once known for, his overall silhouette now appears more streamlined, leading many to comment that he has clearly succeeded with his diet.
In particular, his facial contours look sharper, and his entire frame appears lighter, reinforcing the assessment that his long-term efforts to manage his weight are once again paying off.
Shindong added hashtags such as “#USA #OrangeCounty #Irvine #Ocean #YouTuberShindong,” revealing that the trip also doubled as content filming.
Meanwhile, Shindong has previously spoken candidly about repeated cycles of dieting and rebound weight gain. On a recent episode of KBS2’s 'Problem Child in House,' he shared, “I lost 37 kilograms in five months, but it only took three months to gain it back. If I really wanted to, I think I could go up to 200 kilograms. Even now, I’m managing it in my own way,” joking lightly about his struggles. He also revealed, “I even tried Wegovy, but it didn’t work for me. The doctor said, ‘Shindong, you’ve beaten Wegovy,’” opening up about his emotionally charged dieting experiences.
