ALPHA DRIVE ONE, also known as ALD1, is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about rookie boy groups in K-pop. The group has made history by becoming the first boy group since Wanna One in 2017 to win all three public broadcast music shows—'Show! Music Core,' 'Music Bank,' and 'Inkigayo'—with their debut song.
The eight-member multinational project boy group officially debuted on January 12, 2026, under WAKEONE, with their first mini album, ‘Euphoria.’ Formed through the popular survival show ‘Boys II Planet,’ ALPHA DRIVE ONE consists of Junseo, Arno, Leo, Geonwoo, Sangwon, Xinlong, Anxin, and Sanghyeon. Let’s get to know the members of ALD1.
Junseo
Kim Junseo is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, and actor, born on November 20, 2001, in Mugeo-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. He is 24 years old and is the oldest member of ALD1. He is also the maknae of WEi and a former member of the project group 1THE9. Junseo is recognized for his songwriting and composing skills, showcased in tracks like 1THE9’s “Blah” and WEi’s “Hug You” and “Diffuser.” During the finale of 'Boys II Planet,’ he ranked 8th overall, securing his spot in ALD1.
Arno
Zhang Jia Hao, better known as Arno, is a Chinese member of ALD1, born on July 7, 2002, in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Now 23 years old, he is a former trainee under SM Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment and was part of the Chinese trainee group Chromosome Seeds. Arno also gained attention as a contestant on the survival show ‘MAKE MATE 1.’ His strong performances earned him 5th place overall on ‘Boys II Planet,’ leading to his debut with ALPHA DRIVE ONE.
Leo
Lee Leo is a Korean-Australian singer-songwriter and the leader of ALPHA DRIVE ONE. He was born on August 22, 2002, and is 23 years old. Leo is also part of the upcoming duo Leo & Sangwon. He is known for being a former member of the pre-debut group Trainee A and a contestant on RAP:PUBLIC. He made his solo debut on August 1, 2023, with the digital single “One Look.” At the finale of ‘Boys II Planet,’ Leo ranked 6th overall, officially debuting as a member of ALD1.
Geonwoo
Kim Geon Woo was born on April 11, 2003, in Jeonju, South Korea, and is 22 years old. He previously trained under Source Music, Cube Entertainment, and Bill Entertainment. Geonwoo graduated from Jeonju Urim Middle School and Cheongsam High School and is currently majoring in Practical Music at Seoul Cyber University. His talent and consistency helped him rank 4th overall in the finale of ‘Boys II Planet,’ earning him a place in ALPHA DRIVE ONE.
Sangwon
Lee Sangwon, born on May 8, 2003, in Seoul, South Korea, is a 22-year-old idol who ranked 1st overall on 'Boys II Planet,’ making him the center of ALPHA DRIVE ONE. He graduated from Hanlim Multi Arts High School in 2022, majoring in Practical Dance. Sangwon is a former member of Trainee A and is also part of the upcoming duo Leo & Sangwon. After Trainee A’s debut plans were canceled, Sangwon worked part-time at a café before eventually making his debut with ALD1.
Xinlong
He Xinlong is a Chinese rapper, singer, and actor born on March 11, 2005, in Taiyuan, Shanxi, China. At 20 years old, he is already an experienced idol, having debuted with the project boy group BOY STORY on September 2, 2018. Currently under NCC Entertainment and JYP Entertainment, Xinlong ranked 3rd overall in the finale of ‘Boys II Planet,’ earning his place in ALPHA DRIVE ONE.
Anxin
Zhou Anxin is a 19-year-old Chinese singer and actor born on December 25, 2006, in Kunshan, Jiangsu, China. He is under CHROMOSOME and Nouer Entertainment and was also part of the trainee group Chromosome Seeds. Anxin previously appeared on the survival show ‘MAKE MATE 1,’ where he gained recognition for his skills and charm. He ranked 2nd overall on ‘Boys II Planet,’ securing his debut with ALPHA DRIVE ONE.
Sanghyeon
Chung Sanghyeon is the 18-year-old maknae of ALD1, born on September 19, 2007, in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He spent approximately five years studying in the Philippines during elementary school and is a former trainee under Pledis Entertainment. Currently signed with WAKEONE, he initially trained to become an actor before pursuing an idol career. Sanghyeon was chosen as the “Visual Poster” by fellow trainees on ‘Boys II Planet’ and ranked 7th overall in the finale.
