Actress Shin Se Kyung shared her thoughts on working with Park Jung Min for the upcoming film 'Humint', saying his performance genuinely made her feel excited and impressed.
On February 4, Shin attended the press screening for Humint at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul. During the event, she praised Park’s acting, stating, “I sincerely thought he was really cool.”
'Humint', directed by Ryoo Seung Wan, is a spy action film set in the icy city of Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are buried beneath the cold sea. The story follows individuals with conflicting goals as they clash in a dangerous mission. The film stars Jo In Sung as NIS black agent Jo, and Park Jung Min as Park Geon, an officer from North Korea’s Ministry of State Security.
Together, they fight against North Korea’s consul general Hwang Chi Seong (played by Park Hae Joon) in order to protect restaurant worker Chae Sun Hwa, portrayed by Shin Se Kyung.
Shin explained that her character, Chae Sun Hwa, shares an emotional romance storyline with Park Geon. She noted that 'Humint' felt completely different from the melodrama projects she has previously worked on, adding that she was even more excited because Park Jung Min was her co-star.
“Watching his character on the monitor at the filming site, I honestly thought he looked amazing,” she said. “I even thought he could really capture women’s hearts. As a female audience member myself, I felt my heart flutter.”
Park Jung Min also spoke warmly about Shin, saying it was their first time working together but she opened up quickly, allowing them to build a comfortable relationship on set. He added that they relied on each other throughout filming and had many deep conversations about the project.
Park further expressed his gratitude, saying, “It was such a relief that Shin Se Kyung played Chae Sun Hwa.”
'Humint' is set to hit theaters on February 11.
