Musical actress Ock Joo Hyun shared an emotional message after wrapping up the final performance of the musical ‘Red Book,’ saying, “Thank you so much.”
On the 9th, Ock Joo Hyun posted on her social media, “It was so, so precious. Thank you all for letting me live in such a wonderful time,” adding, “The letters you sent after the final curtain, the messages that made me burst into tears… ‘Red Book’ embraced me until the very end with the same heart and expressions as the people in the world of ‘Red Book,’ just as it always has. Thank you so much for everything.”

In the photos she shared, Ock Joo Hyun posed affectionately with fellow cast members, showing their close friendship. She also revealed part of a letter she received after the performance. The letter read, “I’m grateful that we all have the strength to overcome even the roughest waves, and I hope we can stay together until the false words grow quiet.”

Previously, Ock Joo Hyun had been caught in controversy over casting distribution issues in the musical ‘Anna Karenina.’ Although the title role of Anna was triple cast with Ock Joo Hyun, Lee Ji Hye, and Kim So Hyang, fairness concerns arose when Ock Joo Hyun was reportedly assigned more than 20 out of the total 38 performances.
In response, the production side of ‘Anna Karenina’ stated, “Casting and performance schedules are the exclusive authority of the production company and the original creators, so we have nothing further to comment.”
