Netflix released the second poster and official main trailer for its upcoming romantic comedy series 'Boyfriend on Demand' on February 19.

Premiering on March 6, 'Boyfriend on Demand' follows Seo Mirae, played by BLACKPINK's Jisoo, a webtoon producer worn down by the repetitive demands of daily life. Craving a change, she signs up for a virtual dating simulation service that allows users to subscribe to and experience romance. The series blends the relatable struggles of office life with the fantasy of curated love stories, promising both escapism and heartfelt moments.

The title refers to both the drama itself and the virtual dating subscription service within the story, which delivers dream dates in an immersive digital world. By layering a realistic workplace narrative with the imaginative concept of romance as a subscription, the show offers a fresh and exciting twist on the romantic comedy genre.

The newly revealed second poster captures a dreamy atmosphere, as if Mirae has stepped into another dimension. Around her float glimpses of the various dates she can experience in the virtual world, alongside potential love interests with distinct personalities that spark curiosity and anticipation.

The main trailer showcases Mirae breaking free from her monotonous routine and entering 'Boyfriend on Demand.' She is welcomed by her lively date manager, played by Yoo In Na, who tells her, “We put everything you like into this.” As promised, Mirae soon finds herself immersed in fantasy like scenarios.

She meets a prince like suitor, reconnects with a first love on a cherry blossom filled campus, receives a bold confession from a warm hearted doctor, and even encounters a secret agent and a top star. Each dream date unfolds with dazzling charm. After experiencing these thrilling encounters, Mirae is left in a sweet daze.

Meanwhile, Park Kyeong Nam, portrayed by Seo In Guk, repeatedly crosses her path in real life. The two unexpectedly become overtime companions, and the subtle tension between them raises questions about whether genuine romance may develop beyond the virtual world.

The drama also revealed an impressive lineup of special appearances that further heighten anticipation. Seo Kang Jun, Lee Soo Hyuk, Ong Seong Wu, Lee Jae Wook, Lee Hyun Wook, Kim Young Dae, Jay Park, and Lee Sang Yi will appear as virtual world boyfriends, each bringing a unique charm designed to captivate viewers. Actress Ha Young also joins the cast, adding vibrant energy to the series.

Director Kim Jung Sik explained the drama’s key appeal, saying that the story allows the protagonist to experience romance with different characters across multiple worlds and settings within one series, offering a variety of romantic comedy styles. He added that showcasing Jisoo’s diverse charms was a top priority, with each episode featuring different professions and settings, and subtle adjustments in her acting tone to clearly distinguish her virtual world roles from her real-life character.

'Boyfriend on Demand' premieres globally on Netflix on March 6.
