Uhm Ji Won is currently recovering after undergoing surgery for a fractured left ankle sustained in a fall in Tokyo.
According to her agency, ABM Company, the accident occurred on February 14 while Uhm was in Tokyo, Japan. She injured her left ankle in an unexpected fall and subsequently returned to Korea, where she underwent surgery at a local hospital just before the Lunar New Year holiday.
Fortunately, the injury is not believed to be severe. Uhm is now focusing on rehabilitation treatment and is reportedly in stable condition. Her agency stated that they are coordinating with the production team of her ongoing drama and aiming for her return to filming in early March.
Uhm Ji Won is currently starring in the TVING original series 'Proxy SAT.' The thriller crime drama follows the story of a top-ranking scholarship student who is forced to take the College Scholastic Ability Test on behalf of a blackmailer holding a critical secret. Uhm plays a key role in the series, which has been drawing anticipation from viewers.
