Actress Lee Young Ae recently shared a down-to-earth Lunar New Year outing that caught public attention.
On February 18 KST, she posted several photos on social media with the message, “A visit to a traditional market. Feeling healed. Wishing everyone happiness.”
Based on the photos, she appears to have visited Gwangjang Market in Seoul’s Jongno District, sharing snapshots of her casual daily life while posing around various stalls.
Dressed comfortably in a bright pink padded jacket paired with a black turtleneck, she explored the market freely. She was seen enjoying signature foods such as handmade kalguksu noodles, bibimbap served in a large bowl, and hotteok street snacks in a paper cup — showing an unpretentious charm.
She also playfully tried on a traditional gat hat and a colorful quilted vest, revealing a lighthearted side. At a seafood shop, she carefully examined fish while shopping herself, displaying practical homemaking skills and mingling naturally with vendors.
Lee Young Ae is an actress who reached the top across dramas, films, and commercials throughout the 1990s and 2000s, and is widely recognized as a representative Hallyu star of Korea.
Meanwhile, she appeared last year in the 'Eunsu Good Day' on KBS2, earning praise for her powerful performance. Her next project is the fantasy drama 'Uinyeo Dae Jang Geum (working title: Medical Lady Dae Jang Geum)', produced by Fantagio.
