Actress Kim Hye Yoon and entertainer Dex, whose real name is Kim Jin Young, are set to join forces for a spinoff of tvN’s hit variety show "Fresh off the Sea".
The original program follows cast members as they take on diverse seaside jobs while enjoying seasonal local dishes, capturing a vibrant and heartwarming journey. Since its launch in 2024, the show has received strong viewer support, leading to a second season and an upcoming third season slated for the second half of this year. Led by actress Yum Jung Ah, the cast gained praise for their genuine, family like chemistry as they worked, cooked, and shared daily life together.
The newly confirmed spinoff will bring together original members Yum Jung Ah and Park Jun Myeon, along with season one’s youngest member Dex and season two guest Kim Hye Yoon, creating a fresh lineup that has already sparked anticipation.
In particular, the meeting of two of the industry’s most buzzworthy stars, Kim Hye Yoon and Dex, is raising expectations for standout chemistry.
The production team stated, “As this is a spinoff, we plan to present different points of fun compared to the original series. Viewers can look forward to the genuine family like chemistry they loved most.”
The spinoff is scheduled to premiere in April.
