Acclaimed actors Kim Hye Soo and Kim Ji Hoon are set to reunite as an on-screen couple in Coupang Play’s upcoming original series, 'It's Not A Matter Of Infidelity Right Now.'
Kim Ji Hoon, who previously made headlines with a record-breaking 37.3% viewership, returns to television as the husband of South Korea’s top actress, Kim Hye Soo, drawing significant attention from audiences and media alike.
On February 5, Coupang Play announced the main casting for the new series and confirmed that production is now underway. The show explores a story of two couples entangled in a web of secrets far deeper than a mere affair, presenting a bold black comedy that goes beyond conventional drama.
The narrative begins when a popular influencer couple, known for their picture-perfect family image, and a doctor couple, embroiled in a messy divorce battle, become neighbors. While the initial connection appears to revolve around infidelity, hidden secrets gradually emerge, plunging the characters into a whirlwind of unpredictable events.
During a recent script reading, the actors demonstrated remarkable immersion, almost as if filming had already begun, heightening anticipation for the series. Kim Hye Soo commented, “The way the story unfolds, and the distinct personalities of the characters, make it both unique and entertaining.” Kim Ji Hoon added, “The plot is far from predictable, which makes it feel fresh,” expressing strong confidence in the project.
'It's Not A Matter Of Infidelity Right Now' is scheduled to premiere on Coupang Play in 2026.
