Actor Kim Do Hoon addressed the controversy that arose after he was accused of rubbing with aespa member Karina’s hand.
On February 19, Kim Do Hoon attended the production presentation for Netflix’s new variety show 'Agents of Mystery season 2,' held at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo, Seoul.
During the event, Kim Do Hoon posed for a group photo with the full cast. In the process, he ended up holding Karina’s hand on one side and Gabee’s on the other. However, after footage from the press conference began circulating online, some viewers claimed that he appeared to be playing with Karina’s hand, sparking criticism.
One netizen even visited Kim Do Hoon’s fan community and left a comment saying, “Don’t touch Karina.” In response, Kim Do Hoon personally clarified, “I didn’t touch her hand. I was scratching my own finger because it was itchy.”
In the circulated clip, he appears to be scratching his own finger rather than interacting with Karina’s hand while they were holding hands for the photo. The controversy ultimately seems to have stemmed from a misunderstanding.
Nevertheless, additional comments such as “Karina probably dislikes this kind of controversy too” and “Would Karina even like this kind of attention?” have continued to appear online.
