Jang Wonyoung of IVE has made a generous donation totaling 200 million KRW(~138,000 USD).
According to Severance Hospital on February 11 KST, Jang Wonyoung donated the full amount to support treatment for pediatric and adolescent patients.
Loved by the public for her bright and positive “Lucky Vicky” mindset, Jang Wonyoung is said to have decided on the donation in hopes of helping children and teens — many of whom are her peers and fans — receive treatment, recover well, and grow toward the future with positive support.
The donation will be used as 100 million KRW for the Severance Children’s Hospital development fund and 100 million KRW for the pediatric department development fund at Gangnam Severance Hospital. It will go toward supporting treatment for young patients and improving the medical environment.
An official from Yonsei Medical Center expressed gratitude, stating, “We are deeply thankful for this meaningful act of sharing for pediatric and adolescent patients. We will use the donation carefully so it can provide real help for their treatment and recovery.”
Meanwhile, IVE has also continued charitable efforts as a group, spreading positive influence.
The group recently released the pre-release track ‘BANG BANG’ from their second full-length album ‘REVIVE+’, which has been receiving strong responses on domestic and international charts. Jang Wonyoung also participated in writing the lyrics for the song, showcasing her musical abilities.
