BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is drawing global attention as the main ambassador for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary global campaign.
On February 9, Jisoo shared photos from the set of Pokémon’s “What’s Your Favorite?” campaign on her social media, along with the message: “My fluffy little companion and fellow adventurer—my favorite Pokémon is Eevee. What’s yours?”
In the released images, Jisoo wears a playful Eevee-themed hat, striking a mischievous expression. She also transforms into a Pokémon Trainer, holding a Poké Ball and captivating fans’ attention. With various Pokémon character keyrings in hand, Jisoo beams brightly while posing alongside Eevee plush dolls of different sizes, showcasing a range of charming and dynamic poses.
According to entertainment and advertising industry sources, Jisoo was selected as the main ambassador for the large-scale global campaign “What’s Your Favorite?”, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Pokémon. She unveiled her first official pictorial through the campaign, flawlessly pulling off Eevee-inspired outfits and accessories. In the photoshoot, Jisoo gazes confidently into the camera while wearing a hat designed to resemble Eevee’s ears.
Additionally, Pokémon Co. has also confirmed it will launch an exclusive merch line in collaboration with the global K-pop idol. Ahead of its official launch, the special Super Bowl ad featuring Jisoo also made headlines.
It was reported that Jisoo shared her thoughts on set, saying, “I usually enjoy games and animation, and among them, Eevee is my favorite because of its limitless evolution possibilities. As someone who continues to grow while taking on diverse concepts, I feel there are many similarities between Eevee and myself, which makes this collaboration even more meaningful.”
Meanwhile, Jisoo is set to return as an actress in Netflix’s upcoming series 'Boyfriend On Demand,' premiering on March 6. The romantic comedy follows Jisoo as Mirae, a webtoon producer exhausted by reality who fulfills her romantic fantasies through a virtual dating simulation. In addition, BLACKPINK will release their third mini album 'DEADLINE' on the 27th at 2 PM. This marks the group’s first full-member release in approximately three years and five months since their second full-length album, 'BORN PINK.'
